crewduo vs Jobber
Jobber is made by Octopusapp Inc. in Edmonton and is one of the best-known field service apps for small home service businesses. It prices in US dollars by team size (one user, or 5, 10 or 15 users included, with Core for one person only) and puts features such as two-way texting, job costing and crew scheduling on its higher plans.
Jobber and crewduo are both Canadian-made field service apps. The practical differences: crewduo stores your business data in Canada (Jobber's security page says data is stored on AWS without naming a region), crewduo has a free plan and its paid plans start at $39 CAD ≈ US$28 a month with 3 users, and two-way texting is an add-on on any paid crewduo plan rather than a feature of Jobber's Grow plan and up. Jobber is the longer-established product and includes its website, client hub and tap to pay on every plan.

Jobber's Receptionist and crewduo's AI receptionist
Both answer the phone when you cannot. Jobber's Receptionist costs US$29 a month for 30 conversations, then US$0.79 each, and is included on its Plus plan; its help centre says it answers calls and texts, books jobs, submits requests and handles cancellations and reschedules. crewduo's AI receptionist is an add-on from $30 CAD ≈ US$22 a month with 150 minutes and needs a crewduo phone line (from $19 CAD ≈ US$14 a month); it answers calls, captures requests, books real open slots and passes emergencies to a person.
Jobber's is a little cheaper to start (US$29 against crewduo's $30 CAD ≈ US$22 plus a line), and the two count differently: 30 conversations against 150 minutes. Compare them on the number of calls you actually miss and how long they run.
Moving from Jobber
crewduo imports clients, properties, services and prices, equipment, upcoming visits and opening balances from a Jobber export (and from a spreadsheet or QuickBooks) on every plan, including Free. Or our team moves your history for you with white-glove migration, a one-time $199 CAD. Run both side by side for a couple of weeks before you switch off Jobber.
