Ready for the season
In the northern states the season runs April to November, with a spring-cleanup rush, weekly routes all summer and fall cleanups and irrigation shut-offs before the freeze. Many lawn companies switch to snow removal for the winter, and the same account does both.
The off-season
Lawns only, no snow? After the fall cleanups and irrigation shut-offs, put crewduo on a seasonal hold for the winter instead of cancelling: a small flat monthly fee keeps every client, property, route and treatment record, your crew can still sign in and look things up, and clients can still pay what they owe. Your plan comes back on the day you pick in spring, ready for the cleanup rush. If you plow in the winter too, stay on your plan and run both seasons from one account. How a seasonal hold works
Lawn care and landscaping in US cities
Lawn care and snow removal in one account
Plenty of lawn companies plow in the winter. One crewduo account runs both: mowing routes and fertilizer programs from April, plow routes and salting from November, with the same clients, properties and crews. Each contract has the months it runs, so summer visits stay out of the winter and the other way round.

Lawn care and landscaping questions
Can crewduo plan mowing routes?
Yes. On the Crew plan the dispatch map shows each crew's route with numbered stops and drive times, and Improve this day suggests swaps you review before applying.
Can we run lawn care in summer and snow removal in winter?
Yes. Services, recurring contracts and teams are yours to set up, so one account can run both seasons.
Do we pay for the winter if we only do lawns?
No. Put the account on a seasonal hold for the off-season: one small flat monthly fee keeps your data, logins and client portal, and your plan comes back on the day you pick in spring. See the pricing page.
Does it handle recurring lawn programs?
Yes. Recurring contracts generate the visits of a program and bill them on their own schedule.
Can we bill a season in monthly instalments?
Yes, from the Van plan. A seasonal contract can bill only in the months it runs, or spread the season over twelve equal monthly payments, with autopay.
Can we measure a lawn before we quote it?
Yes, on the paid plans (Van and up), in the web app. Measure on map opens satellite imagery of the property on a request or quote: outline the lawn and the beds for their area in square feet and square metres, measure edging or a fence line in feet and metres, and save each one by name on the record.
