Ready for the season
Openings in April and May, weekly maintenance June to September, closings in September and October; hot tubs and commercial pools keep going through the winter.
The off-season
Pools only? After the last closing, put crewduo on a seasonal hold for the winter instead of cancelling: a small flat monthly fee keeps every pump, heater and liner on record with each backyard's water chemistry history, and clients can still pay what they owe. Your plan comes back on the day you pick, ready to take spring opening bookings. If you service hot tubs or commercial pools through the winter, stay on your plan. Nothing can be booked during a hold. How a seasonal hold works

How a pool and spa season runs in crewduo
- Openings, April and May. Book them into real slots, or let clients book online from the Van plan. The opening checklist covers in-ground, above-ground and spa, with photos.
- Weekly maintenance, June to September. A recurring contract creates the weekly visits only in the months you set, and can add the opening to the first visit of the season and the closing to the last.
- Every visit logged. The pool service log keeps the readings, the chemicals added and the equipment checks, so the next tech knows what the water needed last week.
- Closings, September and October. The closing checklist and photos stay on the property for next spring.
- Hot tubs through the winter. Spa clients stay on their schedule. Pools only? A seasonal hold keeps everything on record until spring.

Pool and spa questions
Can clients book a pool opening online?
Yes, from the Van plan. Clients pick the service and a free time on your website, or send a request you confirm.
Can we track equipment at each pool?
Yes. From the Van plan, equipment is recorded at each property with when it next needs service, and recommendations turn into quotes.
What does the water chemistry log record?
The ready-made pool service log records free chlorine and pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, salt and water temperature, the chemicals added, the cleaning done, and pump, filter pressure and heater checks with a photo. Change it, or build your own (custom forms are on the Van plan).
Does the log work out the water balance and the chemicals to add?
Yes, from the Van plan. As the readings are typed in (on the phone, offline too), it works out the LSI (Langelier Saturation Index) from the readings, marked corrosive, balanced or scale-forming, and a target free chlorine for the stabilizer level. With the pool's volume it also suggests doses: liquid chlorine, baking soda, calcium chloride, stabilizer and an approximate amount of acid to bring the pH down. They are suggestions for the technician to check, not instructions; the product label and your own judgement come first.
Does it work for hot tub companies?
Yes. Hot tubs are services and properties like pools: book a service or winterizing visit, run spa maintenance as a recurring contract, and use the opening and closing checklist, which covers spas and hot tubs.
Can we bill a season of weekly visits as a contract?
Yes, from the Van plan. A recurring contract creates the weekly visits only in the months you set and bills them per visit, in fixed instalments or up front; a seasonal contract can also spread the season over twelve monthly payments.
Can a client see that their pool was serviced?
Yes, from the Van plan. In the client portal they see upcoming and past appointments, photos from finished visits and their invoices.
Do we pay for crewduo while the pools are closed?
Not the full plan. After closings, put the account on a seasonal hold: one small flat monthly fee keeps your data, logins and client portal, and your plan comes back on the day you pick before openings. If you service hot tubs through the winter, stay on your plan. Nothing can be booked during a hold. See the pricing page.
