Schedule and dispatchServices snow removal contractors set up in crewduo
Each service carries its price, how long it takes and the materials it uses, so quotes, bookings and invoices fill themselves in. Your prices and your names: these are examples.
Ready for the season
Contracts are sold September to November, stakes go in before the first snowfall, and the work comes in storms from November to April. Many snow contractors run lawn care or property maintenance the rest of the year.
The off-season
Snow only? Once the stakes are pulled in spring, put crewduo on a seasonal hold for the summer instead of cancelling: a small flat monthly fee keeps every site map, service log and contract on record (the proof of service a slip-and-fall claim asks for months later), and clients can still pay what they owe. Your plan comes back on the day you pick, in time to quote next season's contracts in the fall. How a seasonal hold works
Snow removal in Canadian cities
Per-push work and seasonal contracts in one account
Residential driveways and commercial lots on a per-push basis are invoiced as the work is done. Seasonal contracts are signed in the fall and billed in fixed instalments through the winter, or spread over twelve monthly payments, with autopay (from the Van plan). Both run side by side, for the same client if they want both. See the plans.
Lawn care and snow removal in one account
Cutting grass in the summer? One account runs both seasons: plow routes and salting from November, mowing routes and programs from April, with the same clients, properties and crews. Each contract has the months it runs, so winter visits stay in the winter. See crewduo for lawn care.
Start free, move up when the work does
Which plan fits snow removal contractors? One truck with residential driveways: Van, for seasonal contracts, online payments and the client portal. Several plow routes and commercial lots on storm nights: Crew, for the dispatch map, emergency insertion and tap to pay.

Snow removal questions
Is crewduo snow and ice management software?
Yes: plow and salting routes on the dispatch map (Crew plan), per-push and seasonal billing, site maps and service logs with photos as proof of service, and a crew app that keeps working offline in a storm.
Can crewduo log snow plowing visits as proof of service?
Yes. Operators fill in a snow and ice service log on the phone (offline if needed) with the time and photos, saved to the visit and the property's history.
Can crewduo help defend a slip-and-fall claim?
It keeps the evidence and prints it. Each visit has its check-in and check-out times with the phone's GPS position, and photos taken in the app are checked by crewduo's server against the property's mapped address: Verified on site with the distance, Off site, or Uploaded from gallery, plus Original when the stored file is byte-for-byte the photo the phone took. You can also have the phone stamp the date, time, address and GPS on every photo. The weather at check-in and check-out is recorded from the nearest public weather station (Environment and Climate Change Canada for Canadian properties, the US National Weather Service for US ones). The Proof of Service report (Van plan and up) prints all of it for a client or one property over any dates.
Can we bill seasonal snow contracts?
Yes. A recurring contract bills on its own schedule, so a seasonal contract can be invoiced in fixed instalments while per-push work is invoiced as it is done.
Does the app work during a storm with poor signal?
Yes. The field app keeps working without signal and syncs when it reconnects.
Do we pay for crewduo in the summer?
Not the full plan. Put the account on a seasonal hold when the snow ends: one small flat monthly fee keeps your data, logins and client portal, and your plan comes back on the day you pick in the fall. See the pricing page.
Can we measure a lot or a driveway for a snow contract?
Yes, on the paid plans (Van and up), in the web app. Measure on map opens satellite imagery of the property on a request or quote: outline the lot, the driveway and the sidewalks for their area in square feet and square metres, measure a sidewalk run in feet and metres, and save each one by name ("Front lot", "Driveway") on the record.
